SANYO Virus Washer
The Sanyo Virus Washer system is effective in removing viruses from the air via the effect of electrolysed tap water and the resulting hypochlorous acid which denatures the protein "spikes" on the viral cell wall, thus rendering the virus incapable of infection since it cannot attach to its host's cell receptors.
Virus Washer is also effective against bacteria, molds, organic dust and odors, all without the use of filter trapping materials. The Virus Washer has been proven to suppress more than 99% of airbourne Avian Influenza Viruses (Tottori University Faculty of Agriculture- May 2006)
Sanyo GHP 2 and 3 pipe Gas VRF Systems with R410A
The ECO G Range is the latest generation of Gas Heat Pump (GHP) VRF systems from SANYO, the global leaders in GHP technology. The newly expanded range now not only consists of five 2 pipe heat pump systems with cooling capacities ranging from 22.8kW to 75.0kW but also Europe’s only 3 pipe heat recovery system with a capacity of 56.0kW.
Unlike traditional electric powered VRF systems the GHP utilises an open drive compressor powered by a reciprocating engine powered by LPG or natural gas. This means that the GHP outdoor units only require a single phase power supply to run auxiliary items such as controls and fans. Consequently, the estimated 40% of business properties in the UK which do not have a 3-phase supply can now benefit from VRF technology.
When compared to traditional electric powered VRF systems the GHP offers the specifier and end user a number of significant advantages.
• Utilises natural gas or LPG as its main source of power
• Full heating capacity is achieved at –20°C
• No defrost cycle means no heating downtime
• Outdoor unit only requires a single phase power supply
• Industry low outdoor noise levels from 54dB(A)
• Increased COPs
• Reduced electrical power consumption
• Reduced gas consumption
• Service intervals of 10,000 operating hours
Fast Constant Comfort
The advanced and efficient design of the GHP provides uninterrupted heating, even in outside temperatures of –20ºC, as the system does not require a defrost operation like traditional VRF systems. Any waste heat from combustion is recovered and re-used to provide powerful heating at start-up and minimise energy loss.

Reduced CO2 emissions
With the part L2 coming into force in 2006/7, designers are faced with the conundrum of how to reduce their building design CO2 footprint. GHP technology is recognised world wide as providing a solution to this issue. GHP systems use sophisticated engine management techniques to reduce the CO2 emissions to 160gCO2/ k Wh (useful) thus enabling the GHP VRF systems to reduce significantly the amount of CO2 produced by a building HVAC system.

Increased Flexibility
Apart from the power supply, the technology is exactly the same as existing Sanyo VRF systems with the added benefit of the indoor to outdoor capacity ratio ranging from 50 to 200%.

More Possibilities
The flexibility of the ECO Multi G can be further enhanced with the addition of the chiller option which enables existing chilled water fan coils to be utilised. The chiller unit can be positioned up to 120 metres from the outdoor unit, making internal location possible.
The 20HP outdoor unit can be supplied with an optional internal heat exchanger which supplies up to 22kW of hot water whenever the unit operates in the cooling cycle.
